A SAMHAIN UPDATE, A PERSONAL UPDATE, AND A BIT OF WISDOM

Dog and SkunkUPDATE FROM SAMHAIN PUBLISHING: AN EXERCISE IN PATIENCE:   I reported on the Samhain Publishing situation in two prior blogs (here) and unfortunately have no concrete news to pass on. The negotiations to keep Samhain open are apparently still in the works, but like any other business deal, it takes time. Everything is behind closed doors at this point. Like the other authors and employees, I just keep my fingers crossed.

Scarecrows Cover - Web SizeCover FinalSTILL AVAILABLE FOR PURCHASE:   My novella “Scarecrows”  in e-book, and “Childhood Fears”  in e-book and print are on sale. All the info is here. You really should grab a copy. “Scarecrows” might be a classic some day.

Snoopy hard workOn the home front, I’ve been writing my little heart out. My alter-ego (the OCD one) insisted I finish and edit the ongoing projects –five short stories and one novella. I’m also finishing the two novels I have on the go. I need to get them tucked away so they can properly ferment, while I distance myself from them. A step that is always necessary before starting a major edit.

Then I can tackle the other ideas I’ve had. They’re noted, but undeveloped at this point. Lately I haven’t had a lot of time to spend on my blog, so…

I decided to share some of the wisdom I’ve stumbled across over the last few years. This post “Write Like a Weed” by Jamie Wallace from October 2015, impressed me. So much so, that I printed it, and keep it in the front of my writing binder. I hope you find it as inspiring as I did.
